Advancing to the next rank is always a good day for a service member. For two deployed U.S. Army soldiers sharing a promotion ceremony really isn’t that much out of the norm…..except they’re both getting promoted to the rank of SSG.……..wait….. It gets better…there married…..to each other……the only problem is that one is at Kandahar Air Field, Afghanistan and the other one is across the Gulf of Oman, more than a 1,000 miles away in Qatar. And yet they were still able to have their promotions together via video teleconferencing or VTC. Produced by Spc. Crystal Madriz.
