Eight Bells Sea Service Celebration 2021 was created for the annual commemoration of all who serve on or support Coast Guard cutters in the Coast Guard's 8th District on Oct. 18, 2021. On Oct. 18, 1974, the cutterman insignia program was established to recognize the women and men who serve on Coast Guard cutters.
