BASH teams with U.S. Fish and Wildlife to tag migrant birds

Six different agencies participated in a joint training on crane tagging and tracking facilitated by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, at the Ladd S. Gordon Waterfowl Complex, Socorro, N.M., Dec. 8, 2021. Dr. Dan Collins with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Southwest Regional Office in Albuquerque led the training which included U.S. Air Force Capt. Will Boss, Wildlife Biologist Air Force Safety Center BASH Team, Jim Peterson, Biological Scientist, 802nd Civil Engineer Squadron’s Environmental Assets Branch, Alicia Garcia, Natural Resources Program Manager U.S. Air Force JBLE-Langley, Va., Rachel Vanausdall PHD student, Colorado State University, and Quintin Hays, Senior Wildlife Ecologist GeoSystems Analysis, Inc.
