Hurricane Sandy Relief
Federal Emergency Management Agency
Nov. 14, 2012 | 2:05
Relief efforts continue as volunteers clear and dewater the Breezy Point infrastructure in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Utility companies repair power lines prior to reenergizing and firemen, police, and citizens coordinate volunteer support to help neighbors “gut and pump” flood damaged homes. Hurricane Sandy was the largest Atlantic Hurricane on record and caused the most damage in New York and New Jersey Oct. 29, 2012. (U.S. Navy video by Mass Communication Specialist 1st Class Julian T. Olivari/Released) Also available in high definition.
