RIMPAC 16: Multinational brigade wrapping up premier amphibious exercise

160803-M-ND832-001 MARINE CORPS BASE HAWAII (Aug. 3, 2016) – Provisional Marine Expeditionary Brigade-Hawaii is currently wrapping up Rim of the Pacific 2016, a multinational military exercise, from June 29 to Aug. 4, in and around the Hawaiian islands. The brigade is comprised of service members from the U.S., Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Republic of Korea, Japan,Tonga and Indonesia. It is commanded by 3rd Marine Regiment, which supports III Marine Expeditionary Force. RIMPAC 16, the world's largest amphibious, maritime exercise, promotes interoperability among 26 participating nations and helps maintain security and stability on the world's sea lanes and oceans.
