New Barracks Opens on JBSA-Fort Sam Houston

A brand new facility built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in partnership with the 502nd Air Base Wing was officially opened during a celebratory ribbon cutting June 27, 2024, at Joint Base San Antonio- Fort Sam Houston, Texas. The new Unaccompanied Enlisted Personnel Housing offers occupants updated amenities and privacy, while giving civil engineers the capability to renovate older, recently vacated barracks around the installation.
