Airman of the Week: Airman 1st Class Ryan Ladley Published Jan. 15, 2013 By 436th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- Name/rank: Airman 1st Class Ryan Ladley Squadron: 436th Civil Engineer Squadron Job description: Civil Engineer operations manager. We are the focal point of CES. If there is something wrong with your building, we're the guys you call to get it fixed. Previous assignments: This is my first. Dream assignment and why? Anything in Colorado, there is nothing like the Rocky Mountains. The people are friendly, weather is great and there is nothing better than rolling out of the bed in the morning to go snowboarding. Favorite movie: It's hard to say. Let's just go with science fiction movies in general. Favorite food: Burger and fries Favorite book: "Emperor Series" by Conn Iggulden Who inspires you? My parents because they have supported me every step of the way on the twisty path my life has taken. I couldn't ask for better inspiration Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Flying helicopters in the Rocky Mountains. Airman 1st Class Ryan Ladley continues to excel in every task assigned since his arrival at Dover AFB. Over the last eight months, he completed his career development courses and will formally complete his upgrade training within 45 days. While the section NCO in charge was deployed, Ladley quickly absorbed his duties and executed every one with very low supervision. He has good time management and he has an ability to organize and reprioritize tasks while still meeting task deadlines. His performance and commitment levels put him ahead of his peers and more importantly, above his current pay grade. If it was authorized, I would have field promoted him to staff sergeant. Ladley is a pure gold performer, the perfect choice for any task. -Catherine Deeter Supervisor
