Name/rank: Senior Airman Andrew Brande

Squadron: 436th Comptroller Squadron

Job description: Budget analyst

Dream assignment and why? Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., because of the warm weather and ocean.

Family: My wife, Stephanie, and my son, Mason

Favorite movie: "The Boondock Saints"

Favorite food: Ribs

Who inspires you? My grandfather is my biggest inspiration because he worked hard his entire life, and stayed positive through the hardest times.

Have you been deployed? If so, what was your best experience? Yes, I enjoyed having a six-month tasking with the Army. It was good to get away from doing finance work for a while.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Completed my bachelor's degree, enjoying time with family, and planning for life after military retirement.

Senior Airman Andrew Brande is the primary analyst for 17 base budget programs totaling more than $14.9 million. He quickly became proficient in the Dover Air Force Base, Del., Interest Penalty program, where he has beaten the Air Mobility Command Financial Management metric. Just recently, in March, Dover AFB reached its all-time best, with zero interest paid on over $5.3 million in payments. Furthermore, Brande has been selected as the 436th Comptroller Squadron Star-Performer twice during his tenure here. Brande is truly deserving of being the Airman of the Week.
