Airman 1st Class Harold Richard was recently assigned to a special maintenance team to correct a repeat landing gear malfunction. He, along with electrical and environmental specialists, meticulously inspected 200 feet of wire inch-by-inch checking for mechanical defects in the system. Over the course of five days he and the rest of the team replaced numerous components and performed multiple operational checks. Through their efforts they were able to return the aircraft to flying status with no further discrepancies.
