Airman of the Week: Airman 1st Class Cassandra Estes Published June 28, 2011 By 436th Airlift Wing DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- Name/rank: Airman 1st Class Cassandra Estes Squadron: 436th Aerial Port Squadron Job description: I work in the aerial port, the best job at Dover Air Force Base, Del. Cargo is a blast. We arrange the cargo and build it up on pallets depending on the destination and type of aircraft. We also download trucks with pre-built pallets and account for the cargo downloaded here. Dream assignment and why: I would absolutely love to be stationed at Aviano Air Base, Italy, because I have never been to that portion of the world. The base offers a lot of travel opportunities, and it is pretty. Family: I couldn't ask for a better set of parents and I have a blast with my twin sister who is in the Army Reserves and my three younger brothers. Favorite movie: Anything with Will Ferrell Favorite food: I'm a country girl, so steak. Favorite book: "A Tale of Two Cities" Who inspires you: My mom inspires me. She has had a very difficult life but still stays strong and has taught my siblings and me to work hard and rely on God. Where do you see yourself in 10 years: Ten years is a long time and I'm a pretty bad planner. I would say working in a hospital doing radiology, possibly married and hopefully paying off my first home by then. Airman 1st Class Estes encompasses energy, drive, and motivation while setting the example for all Airmen to follow. Her positive attitude never waivers. She always comes to work with a smile and she has the ability to make others do the same. Airman Estes also maintains a cool, calm and collected approach to everything she engages in. There is no one more selfless than her because she will take care of her wingmen before she considers herself. She is a pleasure to supervise and a role model for all Airmen to follow. -Tech Sgt.
