Who inspires you: Timothy Fay

What has been your best experience in the Air Force?: Tech School at Sheppard AFB, Texas, because I went to school with the Navy and Army. Seeing the joint environment and how the services interact was truly amazing. 

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?: Fixing medical equipment as my full time job somewhere in Southern California with my own home and possibly a family.

Airman 1st Class Manuel Alvarez is the type of Airman you hope for when you receive the notification you're getting a student from technical school. His ambition and drive to learn all aspects of his job are without comparison. Airman Alvarez is one of four biomedical equipment repair technicians responsible for maintaining $5.1 million in medical equipment assets in the 436th Airlift Wing, 512th Airlift Wing, 166th Army National Guard Veterinary Clinic and Air Force Mortuary Affairs Operations. Recently Airman Alvarez was in charge of a turn-in project of a radiology system reallocating to Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, saving the Air Force $230,000 in acquisition costs. He has proven to be a tremendous asset to Team Dover.
