For Team Dover members, one solution may be a phone call away. Elizabeth Richmond and Sheila Nagyiski, contract massage therapists, offer their services at the Fitness Center to help relieve a wide variety of tensions caused by stress, headaches, back problems and pulled muscles. "It's very rewarding for me to feel instant gratification from my job because our clients come in aching, tired or stressed and leave feeling better," said Ms. Richmond. "This is the only job I've ever had where I've seen instant results." According to these Delaware Certified Massage Practitioners, the benefits of massage include increased circulation, decreased tension and pain, increased energy, greater ease of mobility and decreased stress levels. "I was injured myself and found the benefit of message which enhanced my recovery, importance," said Ms. Richmond, a member of the Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals with 16 years of massage experience. "Massages are not a cure and it doesn't fix problems the first time, but you can definitely feel a difference," she said. "It's great to know that I'm making a difference, helping to take care of someone's health and well being." The massage therapists offer different types of massages such as deep tissue, Swedish and sport. They're also flexible to customizing to individual needs.
