Многие десятилетия Швеция являлась одним из ближайших партнеров НАТО. Теперь она член Североатлантического союза. С ее вступлением наш союз становится еще сильнее, а Швеция - защищеннее.

На встрече в верхах в Мадриде в июне 2022 года главы государств и правительств стран НАТО пригласили Швецию присоединиться к Североатлантическому союзу. Сейчас, когда все союзники по НАТО ратифицировали вступление Швеции, на флагштоке в штаб-квартире НАТО в Брюсселе, Бельгия, будут реять 32 флага.
