2009 Dover Air Force Base coloring competition winner
Four-year-old Axel Hernandez-Rodriguez?s won the 2009 Dover Air Force Base coloring competition. His Air Force Thunderbirds coloring was selected as the best of more than 100 submissions. Children between the ages of four and nine were eligible to participate in the contest created for the Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Flight open house held at Dover AFB June 20-21. Outdated gauges and other control devices are being removed from a Dover Air Force Base C-5 Galaxy as the aircraft undergoes its Avionics Modernization Program, digital avionics and a full-glass cockpit are installed.
