512th wins MUA

Lt. Gen. John A. Bradley, chief of the Air Force Reserve and commander of Air Force Reserve Command, headquartered at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., presented the 512th Airlift Wing with its first Meritorious Unit Award in a ceremony here today at 10 a.m. The general addressed more than 700 512th AW Airmen during the ceremony and discussed Total Force initiatives and the future of the Air Force Reserve. He also thanked wing Airmen for their support in the Global War on Terrorism. The MUA was awarded to 512th Airlift Wing Airmen who served at Dover Air Force Base between Oct. 1, 2004, and Sept. 31, 2005, for outstanding achievement or service in direct support of combat operation in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. The degree of achievement required to receive this medal is equivalent to being awarded the Legion of Merit, according to the United States Central Command Air Forces Decoration Guidebook.
