Daedalian trophy

Airman 1st Class Heather Hammond, 436th Maintenance Squadron, briefs Daedalian award team members about a Jet Engine Intermediate Lean Event here recently. Lean is a tool to streamline work processes and save money. It's one of many reasons that Dover Air Force Base recently won the Clemens McMullen Memorial Daedalian Weapon System Maintenance Trophy for Air Mobility Command. Dover hasn't won the presitigous award since the base claimed back-to-back titles in 1993 and 1994. Dover Air Force Base will now go on to compete against other installations at the Air Force level. The base hasn’t won at the Air Force level since 1975. (U.S. Air Force photo/Staff Sgt. John Respoli)
