Units 436th Maintenance Group 436th Maintenance Operations Squadron The 436th Maintenance Operations Squadron provides the full range of logistical support for personnel within the Maintenance Group. The squadron provides the Maintenance Group commander with accurate, up-to-date information on the health and welfare of the group. The transient maintenance flight supports all civilian aircraft transiting Dover Air Force Base as well as, C-130, KC-10, C-17, and C-5 thru-flights. Additionally, the support flight manages the squadron's vehicle fleet. 436th Maintenance Squadron The 436th Maintenance Squadron supports the 436th Airlift Wing's worldwide global mobility mission by providing trained maintenance specialists for the U.S. Air Force's largest cargo transport aircraft, the C-5 Galaxy. The squadron falls under the Maintenance Group and is comprised of seven flights. These flights perform the inspection and repair of aircraft system components, including avionics, hydraulics and electro-environmental systems, the field inspection/repair of fuel systems, local fabrication and manufacturing, and painting and corrosion control of aircraft parts. In addition, a DoD award-winning isochronal inspection team ensures aircraft serviceability and safety by performing in-depth annual inspections of aircraft. It offers quality health care and full-spectrum preventive and primary care services in family practice, pediatrics, internal medicine and women's health. The Dental Evidence Response Team supports the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology by performing dental forensic identifications to return America's fallen heroes to their families with dignity, honor and respect. 436th Mission Support Group 436th Aerial Port Squadron The 436th Aerial Port Squadron is known throughout Air Mobility Command as the "Super Port," where providing transportation service to destinations worldwide is business as usual. The Super Port continually demonstrates capabilities in all facets of cargo and passenger movement. The Super Port has always been at the forefront of major operations, including the current Global War on Terror. The 436th APS's primary mission is to provide airlift support for the movement of cargo, mail and passengers to support the operations directed by the President of the United States, the Department of Defense or the Joint Chiefs of Staff, as well as providing airlift support of worldwide humanitarian efforts, exercises, contingencies and emergencies. 436th APS Customer Service Section 436th Civil Engineer Squadron The 436th Civil Engineer Squadron provides the resource protection, environmental quality, infrastructure/facility maintenance and repair, and human services necessary to support the 436th Airlift Wing's Global Reach mission. Its objective squadron structure is organized into eight major flights: operations, fire protection, housing, environmental, engineering, readiness, explosive ordnance disposal and resources. 436th Communications Squadron The 436th Communications Squadron plans, installs, operates and maintains $75 million in command, control, communications, computer and visual information systems for two C-5 airlift wings and the National Weather Service. Mission areas include classified and unclassified data networks, airfield navigation and landing equipment, air traffic control systems maintenance, airport surveillance and weather radar, telephone and wireless communications, public address systems, frequency management and base information management. 436th Mission Support Squadron The 436th Mission Support Squadron provides personnel management support, human services and educational opportunities to enhance the professional development, personal growth and mission effectiveness of Team Dover. Operational functions within the squadron include the Military Personnel Flight, Education and Training Flight, Airman Leadership School, Career Assistance Advisor, Base Manpower Office, Airman and Family Readiness Center and the First Term Airman Center. The squadron plays a vital role in the wing's global mission by directly supporting the most important resource -- people. 436th Security Forces Squadron The 436th Security Forces Squadron is responsible for the safety and security of Dover Air Force Base's C-5 and C-17 fleet as well as law enforcement that affects the public safety of base residents and facilities. The squadron manages the 436th Airlift Wing's information and personnel security, combat arms training, drug suppression and criminal investigative support as well as crime and traffic analysis. Services administers sports and physical fitness activities, child development and youth programs, and a variety of food and beverage services, lodging, library services, numerous recreation activities including bowling, golf, outdoor recreation, tickets and tours, aero club, arts & crafts center, aero club and veterinary services. 436th Logistics Readiness Squadron The 436th Logistics Readiness Squadron provides logistics support to the 436th and 512th Airlift Wings. The squadron directly contributes to the wings' operational capabilities and worldwide mobility execution. It executes air and space expeditionary force readiness and expeditionary combat support planning through war reserve materiel management, deployment and reception planning, training and execution. The LRS plans for emergency response deployments, combat support capability, and base and expeditionary support. The squadron maintains chemical warfare defense equipment and is responsible for an arms storage and issue facility. In addition, they provide quality, environmentally safe fuel and cryogenic support to the global airlift mission, ensuring timely service for all assigned C-5s, as well as a variety of transient aircraft and ground support vehicles and equipment. Another responsibility of the squadron is to oversee the operation and maintenance of government owned and leased vehicles for safe, efficient and environmentally sound movement of personnel and equipment to meet mission requirements. The 9th Airlift Squadron's mission capability includes clandestine delivery, extraction and airdrop of special operations forces and equipment. 436th Airlift Wing Staff 436th AW Anti-terrorism The Anti-terrorism office manages the installation Antiterrorism/Force Protection program and serves as the principal advisor to the wing commander on all AT/FP matters. The office develops mitigation actions and countermeasures during increased force protection conditions. The office also prepares Dover AFB with an executable anti-terrorism plan and develop readiness exercises to ensure base agencies can respond to threat-based contingencies. The anti-terrorism office directs, manages and analyzes daily random anti-terrorism measures and leads base-level teams to conduct local vulnerability and physical security assessments; manage base security deficiencies; and are key members and facilitators of the threat and force protection working groups. 436th AW Chaplain The Chapel Team provides chaplains and enlisted chaplain assistants who help care for the base's highest priority, the people. Chaplains provide pastoral guidance in matters pertaining to religious expression, religious conviction, ethical decision-making, moral reasoning, wedding preparation and more. Religious programs include Catholic and Protestant activities, as well as seasonal special activities and worship opportunities. Other faith group members may contact the chapel for information on locations and contacts for other faith groups. 436th AW Command Post The Command Post supports peacetime and combat Global Reach for America by preparing, launching and recovering all aircraft that travel through Dover Air Force Base, day and night. Command Post professionals provide command and control to orchestrate the wing mission, operating state-of-the-art voice data communication systems to receive, process and disseminate information, exercising command authority across functional lines to efficiently manage Air Mobility Command and Air Force-wide resources. Both in times of peace and increased tension, the Dover Command Post is the hub of information circulated throughout the base. Networked through a host of other base command and control agencies, the Command Post works with law enforcement, fire department, base operations, the hospital and other departments to make an accurate assessment of base functions to report directly to the wing commander. The Command Post team consists of dedicated command and control specialists, aerial port information controllers and maintenance coordinators. Our command and control specialists are the direct link to the Tanker Airlift Control Center -- AMC's command and control center -- and responsible for coordinating all mission events. Maintenance coordinators assist production supervisors in orchestrating all flightline activities, making sure all outbound aircraft are suitable for flight. Aerial port information controllers track aircraft load and passenger information, coordinate cargo load and passenger processing, and make sure all pre-flight servicing is completed. 436th AW Comptroller Squadron The 436th AW Comptroller Squadron is responsible for funds accounting and budget planning, programming, execution and analysis. The Comptroller Squadron provides customer service to all wing and tenant units to include financial training and education. The IG system is best used after "the system" or chain of command was unresponsive or unable to satisfactorily address the concern or process causing the complaint. Through these three areas, they ensure that both the Dover Air Force Base community and the general public are kept well informed, and that strong relations are maintained between the 436th Airlift Wing and the local community. From producing a base newspaper to maintaining the public Web site, as well as providing information to local, national and international media outlets, the public affairs staff reviews and approves information that can be released to openly and accurately communicate with the base's various publics. 436th AW Safety Office The wing Safety Office has the primary responsibility of increasing readiness through a progressive mishap prevention program, emphasizing leadership, education and mishap reporting. By reducing hazards and protecting resources, the Safety Office ensures risk is effectively managed at the appropriate level for all personnel. Their goal is to promote an "aggressively safe" attitude for all Dover Team members. Midair Collision Avoidance (5.41MB) 436th AW Sexual Assault Resource Center The mission of the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program is to give military victims of sexual assault an avenue to seek help and maintain confidentiality in reporting the incident/s in a safe and less intrusive process. A restricted report may be reported only to the SARC or healthcare provider by an active duty or Reserve component member. This allows a sexual assault victim to receive medical treatment and counseling without triggering an investigation. Trained victim advocates are available for crisis intervention, referrals and on-going support as well as accompaniments to medical appointments and investigative interviews if requested. The program also provides education and awareness of sexual assault issues. The SARC is available 24/7 to respond to calls of sexual assault. 436th AW Staff Judge Advocate/Law Center The Law Center provides professional legal support and advice to command and other staff agencies on a variety of issues, including military justice, contracts, labor, environmental and operations law. In addition, servicemembers and their families and military retirees, can receive personal legal assistance on civil matters. Personal civil matters include questions about wills, domestic matters and consumer issues.
