  • Photos show the Dover Air Force Base C-5M Galaxy Flight Deck Refurbishment project at Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, May 20-July 6, 2026. The project restored worn interior areas of a C-5M Super Galaxy, including the flight deck, crew seating, crew tables and ceiling panels, during the aircraft’s scheduled Major Isochronal Inspection without adding maintenance downtime. Tail 6020 was the first aircraft completed under Dover’s C-5M refurbishment pilot effort, which aims to return cleaner, more functional aircraft spaces to the flight line.
