Reduced Operations Reporting Instructions released Published Oct. 28, 2012 By 436 Airlift Wing Public Affairs Dover Air Force Base, Del. -- In light of the potential for severe weather conditions and flooding beginning this Sunday evening, I am implementing the Reduced Operation Policy, beginning 1800, Sunday, 28 Oct through 0600, Wednesday, 31 Oct. An update to this message will be announced Tuesday evening NLT 2100L. We expect normal operation Wednesday morning, weather dependent. Squadron commanders are responsible for assigning current Mission Essential Level (MEL) designators for all military and civilian personnel. I understand MEL assignments were confirmed this week. As a reminder, an individual's MEL designator can change at any time based on mission requirements. Administrative leave is authorized for MEL categories 2-3 and personnel that Commander's have not specifically tasked starting 1800, Sunday, 28 Oct. Commanders can adjust MELs for personnel depending on the situation. Only the following housing residences are directed to evacuate by order (Limited Evacuation Order, 27 OCT 12/ 1930L) of the 436th Airlift Wing Commander: odd numbered units from 4001 to 4055 Fig St; 5004 and 5005 Gingko St; odd numbered units from 6001 to 6039 Hazelnut Dr; and even numbered units from 8000 to 8022 Pistachio Pl as well as 8015 and 8017 Pistachio Pl. Additionally, military members living off-base within .75 miles of the coast were directed to evacuate. Only these military members, dependents & civilians ordered to evacuate will be authorized the use of Government Travel Card (GTC). Outside this limited evacuation order, military and civilian personnel, as well as dependents, evacuation is voluntary. In light of this, no orders will be generated and no funding will be provided for personal evacuation expenses. Active duty members need to CONFIRM evacuation instructions with their Squadron Commander prior to their departure from the local area. In addition, personnel should be aware that as winds increase to a certain speed, there will be no movement on base unless there is an emergency situation. According to current weather forecast, this is projected to take place Monday afternoon. An official message will be disseminated once the base is in "lockdown" mode. v/r 436 AW/CC Reduced Operation Policy
