Job description: I cook dinner, midnight meal and breakfast at the Patterson Dining Facility. I assume responsible of making sure the meal is prepared in a timely manner. Time management is a big factor at the dining facility allowing for fresh food daily. I also do some of the paper work which involves temperature checks, waste logs, production log, and others that are cataloged daily.

Dream assignment: Aviano, Italy.

Favorite movies: The Shawshank Redemption, Fight Club, Fifth Element, Godfather I

Favorite food: Anything pasta

Who inspires you: My family, in particular my father. I've always been taught proper manners and a good work ethic will help you succeed. My inspiration is derived from the respect my family has shown me so far in my military career.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years: In the Air Force as an officer.


Airman 1st Class Giuseppe Francioni was selected as the Airman of the Week because of his dedication, positive attitude and outstanding work ethic. Airman Francioni joined the our team Sept. 2010, and has been one of our best Airmen at the Patterson Dining Facility. He started as a shift worker responsible for preparing and serving more than 360 meals to more than 7,000 patrons quarterly. His constant willingness to learn has enabled him to grasp the broad spectrum of the food service mission and responsibilities. Airman Francioni's hard work, dependability and commitment to excellence have led him to become the dining facility night shift supervisor, a position ahead of his rank. He is truly an Airman with a bright future ahead of him.
