You can't fly without supply Published June 5, 2012 By Airman 1st Class Samuel Taylor 436th Airlift Wing Public Affairs DOVER AIR FORCE BASE, Del. -- The men and women of Dover Air Force Base, Del., do some amazing things; from keeping the Department of Defense's largest aerial port running smooth, to transporting approximately 70 percent of the channel cargo to locations overseas, they have a track record of putting their tools to good use. And behind most successful missions that originate from Dover AFB, or repairs that keeps aircraft flying high, there is the 436th Logistics Readiness Squadron and their aircraft parts store. The 436th LRS Aircraft Parts Store inventories 32,000 aircraft parts valued at more than $9 million in support of 31 assigned aircraft. It is a significant responsibility, and one necessary to the success of the Dover AFB's avowed mission - to deliver. For it is as the saying goes within the 436th LRS: "you can't fly without supply."
