A plaque outside of the Center for the Families of the Fallen marks the date the building was established and provides a short inscription, Dover Air Force Base, Delaware, Nov. 18, 2025. The plaque writes ” The heroes of our generation are making the supreme sacrifice in protection of freedom and promotion of peace. Though they will never see the fulfillment of the dream for which they died, we honor their service, their courage, and their families. They, and their families, hold a cherished place in our hearts and in the history of these United States. We are compelled by their sacrifice to offer the love which always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres. Adjacent to the Fisher House for Families of the Fallen is a Meditation Pavilion. The 1,714 square foot Meditation Pavilion provides a quiet place for families to gather, pray and reflect during their stay at the Fisher House. The Dover Air Force Base Honor Guard Posts the Colors during the 24th Anniversary 9/11 Memorial Service at the Air Mobility Command Museum at Dover AFB, Delaware, Sept. 11, 2025.
