Coast Guard Rescues Man from Sinking Boat Near Big Sur, Ca.

The Coast Guard rescued a man from a boat that was taking on water approximately 27 miles south of Big Sur, California, Wednesday, June 29, 2016. A Coast Guard helicopter crew from Coast Guard Air Station San Francisco arrived on scene and lowered their rescue swimmer and a dewatering pump to assist. Eventually the man and swimmer were removed from the sinking boat and taken aboard a motor life boat from Coast Guard Station Monterey and the rescued man was taken to Monterey with no reported injuries.
