Marines install arresting gear during Forager Fury
Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni
Dec. 2, 2012 | 2:19
Expeditionary Airfield Marines install an M-31 Marine Corps Expeditionary Arresting Gear System on Tinian’s West Field during Exercise Forager Fury 2012. The arresting gear is used to quickly decelerate aircraft on forward airfields during exercises and operations around the world and, with the installation complete, Marines on Tinian can begin taking jet arrestments for FF12. Tinian, an island of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, will play host to nearly 100 Marines during the exercise. The Marines are with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, Marine Aircraft Group 12, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, III Marine Expeditionary Force. Available in high definition.
