Members of the 1st Battalion, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment and 307th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division fire off 120 Illumination (ILUM) at Forward Operating Base Pasab, Afghanistan on November 7, 2017. The purpose of these nighttime firings is both as practice in the event of base defense, and also to ward off enemies (U.S. Air Force video by Senior Airman Ryan Green).
