U.S. Army Southern European Task Force, Africa (SETAF-AF), hosts their change of command ceremony at Caserma Ederle, Vicenza, Italy, July 18, 2024. U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Andrew C. Gainey replaces U.S. Army Maj. Gen. Todd R. Wasmund as the new commanding general of SETAF-AF. The change of command ceremony is a military tradition that represents a transfer of authority and responsibility for a unit or command.
