Ghost Guard: Hospital Point Lighthouse
U.S. Coast Guard District 1
Oct. 12, 2021 | 2:06
Kim Allan, wife to Adm. Tom Allan, Coast Guard First District commander, shares spooky phenomena she and her guests have experienced at Hospital Point Lighthouse.
The name of the light station stems from a smallpox hospital built on the site in 1801. It was also used as a military barracks during the War of 1812, and burned down in 1849. (U.S. Coast Guard video by Petty Officer First Class Amanda Wyrick/Released)
