Hurricane Maria destroyed ALL the National Weather Services’ radar stations at Puerto Rico, leaving the island blind to incoming weather systems. The Marine Air Control Squadron #2 stepped in, stationing their expeditionary weather radar system at the Aguadilla airport.
Staff Sargent Rachel Parkison describes why this is different than their normal deployment.
