Community Updates: Niagara Falls Storage Site Cleanup

The US Army Corps of Engineers, Buffalo District Niagara Falls Storage Site Integrated Technical Office hosted a public information session at the Lewiston Senior Center October 17, 2023. The team updated members of the community on the status and plans for the site clean up. The NFSS is transitioning to the remediation phase with the ultimate goal of moving atomic-era waste from its current location to a licensed out-of-state containment facility. This goal was established, with extensive public input, during the 2017 Record of Decision process.
