Before Secretary of Defense Ash Carter's decision allowing women into combat related jobs, two lady leathernecks on Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni participated in a voluntary program to see if women could integrate successfully with their male counterparts. With this decision, these female Marine pioneers plan on changing their jobs to combat arms. Marine Cpl. Laiqa Hitt reports.
