Rhode Island Air National Guard Goes Virtual in the Cockpit
Joint Force Headquarters - Rhode Island National Guard
June 11, 2020 | 2:20
Senior Master Sgt. Kyle Gurnon, loadmaster with the 143rd Airlift Wing and Col. Adam G. Wiggins, 143rd Airlift Wing, vice commander, introduces the Reconfigurable Weapons Systems Trainer (RWST), June 11, 2020 at Quonset Air National Guard Base, North Kingstown, R.I. The RWST is the latest virtual simulator designed to reconfigure into the C-130 and HC-130 aircrafts. The simulator provides the appearance and functionality of a C-130J, allowing members of the 143rd to train to standards in a realistic environment, without the limitations of bad weather. The Rhode Island Air National Guard (RING) is the first of the National Guard community to receive and utilize the RWST. (U.S. Army National Guard video by Sgt. Terry Rajsombath)
