Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu visits the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS ROSS (DDG 71) at the Port of Ashdod, on Thursday, October 11, 2018, accompanied by U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman. During the visit, PM Netanyahu toured the ship, met the Sailors and officers who command the vessel, and gave remarks at a celebration marking the 243rd birthday of the U.S. Navy. USS Ross, forward-deployed to Rota, Spain, is on its seventh patrol in the U.S. 6th Fleet area of operations in support of U.S. national security interests Europe and Africa.
