Maj Hamaker: “Today we gather to celebrate both the past and the future of Lieutenant Colonel Robert Shelton and and Lieutenant Colonel Todd Mcneal.” (7 sec)
Narrator: A leader rises at the 99th Air Refueling Squadron. Lieutenant Colonel Todd McNeal has been entrusted with the responsibility of command. Lieutenant Colonel Robert A. Shelton passed him the flag, symbolically stepping down and welcoming him to the new position. Colonel McNeal has been an officer in the Air Force since 1998 and has been with the 99th Air Refueling Squadron for about three years. In his last position as Operations Officer he provided leadership and direction for over 100 military professionals in support of OPERATION ENDURING FREEDOM, OPERATION IRAQI FREEDOM, OPERATION NEW DAWN and the Birmingham tasking for OPERATION NOBLE EAGLE. Reporting for the 117th Air Refueling Wing, I’m Airman Jim Bentley.
