The Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island facilities were damaged during Hurricane Sandy. The National Park Service, FEMA and other federal agencies have been working together to repair New York’s cultural resources. The Statue of Liberty and portions of Ellis Island will reopen to the public on July 4, 2013. Available in high definition.
