Members from around the Coast Guard 7th District, including Rear Adm. Eric C. Jones, 7th District commannnder, remind boaters about wearing life jackets anytime people are out on the water and to be prepared with proper safety equipment, May 16, 2020. National Safe Boating Week is an annual week-long event, prior to the Memorial Day Weekend, focused on boating safety, which includes using life jackets, having emergency position indicating radio beacons (EPIRB), signaling devices like flares, filing float plans and more, all this to help remind and keep boaters safer when they are on the water.
