At Prince Sultan Air Base, the 378th Air Expeditionary Wing hosted the Silver Eagles of the Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 115. During their three month stint the VMFA-115 not only deployed a squadron of f/a-18 hornets, but also flew alongside the Royal Saudi Air Force F-15s. This interoperability training supported personnel’s ability to move fluidly across the theater and showcase the U.S. and coalition resolve in the region.
Meanwhile at al Udeid air base, the 379th AEW began a newly developed training course that focuses on diversifying airman’s skillsets while broadening their knowledge in fundamental capabilities. This training helped expanded airmen’s ability to operate in a deployed environment. The first iteration brought members from the logistical and medical airmen together to teach each other career-specific tasks.
Finally at Ali Al Salem air base, the vehicle management team worked day and night to keep vehicles serviceable. The airmen discovered new and innovative techniques to improve vehicle maintenance while ensuring the mission continued without delay and the base remained posture ready.(U.S. Air Force video by Senior Airman David Phaff)
