Heckl, commanding general of Combat Development Command and Deputy Commandant of Combat Development and Integration visits a Norfolk, Va., shipyard to discuss the current amphibious warfare ship modernization, May 14, 2024. Heckl's visit to the shipyard was to gain more understanding about how the Marine Corps can better assist the Navy and industry leaders with modernizing amphibious ships.
