ROK Special Forces, 353rd SOW conduct static line jumps
AFN Okinawa
March 12, 2025 | 1:00
Republic of Korea Special Operations Forces personnel conduct static line jumps from a U.S. Air Force 353rd Special Operations Wing MC-130J Commando II during exercise Freedom Shield 25 over South Korea, March 12, 2025. The Freedom Shield exercise series occurs twice a year and acts as a means for ensuring the combined lethality of the U.S. and ROK militaries to meet mutual homeland defense priorities. U.S. Special Operations Forces regularly train with allies and partners as a means to increase readiness, deter and degrade aggression, and preserve a free and open Indo-Pacific region while remaining ready to prevail in conflict if called upon.
