USS Carney departs NAVSTA Rota in homeport Shift

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) departed Naval Station Rota for the final time June 27th. Carney joined the USS Bataan Amphibious Readiness Group on its transit to their new homeport in Mayport, Florida. Captain Joseph A Gagliano, Commodore of Commander Task Force 65, commented on the Carney's importance to the 6th and 5th Fleet operations since its arrival.
