180727-N-TK177-0002 ATLANTIC OCEAN (July 27, 2018) In September 2015, the DoD partnered with LEAN-IN, creating the Women-At-Sea program in order to expand the Women’s Symposium for those at sea. Through this expansion the USS Iwo Jima’s (LHD7) group has chosen the title LADIES (Leadership, Attitude, Discipline, Integrity, Empowerment, Success). Iwo Jima’s LADIES circle fosters diverse and inclusive leadership through peer mentoring while helping to improve both perspective and performance.
