The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New York District, is currently constructing a Coastal Flood Risk Management Project in Port Monmouth, New Jersey. David Gentile, project manager, USACE, New York District, talks about the different flood risk management measures being constructed. This flood risk management project represents the second phase which will include levees, floodwalls, the splicing of sheet pile onto an existing bulkhead, road closure structures, a vertical lift tide gate, pump stations, road raising, re-grading interior drainage facilities, and wetland mitigation.
