Colonel Richard E. Cole, USAF (retired) was the last surviving member of the Doolittle Raiders. As part of the burial ceremony, three formations of military aircraft to include, Five B-25 Mitchells, Two Douglas C-47 Skytrains, and Four F-15Es performed the missing man formation to commemorate Col. Cole's military service.
