U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Zachary Olimb, a 68W assigned to Vicenza Medical Clinic, performs first aid on a simulated casualty at the Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) Lane during the Expert Field Medical Badge (EFMB) competition at the 7th Army Training Command's Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Nov. 9, 2023. Soldiers are tested on multiple lanes such as medical evacuations and treatments, land navigation, physical fitness and chemical biological radioactive nuclear evaluations to earn the badge, which improves the armed services ability to respond more effectively and efficiently which increases readiness.
