Prohibited Items
- Weapons of any kind, including but not limited to: firearms, weapons, knives, multi tools, mace/pepper spray and explosives.
- Fireworks, pyrotechnics of any kind
- Smoking and vaping are prohibited in the airshow display areas, spectator experience areas and onboard any open aircraft
- Poles, sticks, flags, missile-like objects of any kind
- Alcohol (except when purchased at an approved vendor within the First State Airshow)
- Illegal substances and illicit drugs, including all forms of marijuana
- Motorized scooters (except medically necessary), skateboards and bicycles
- Drones
- Bottles, cans, thermoses, coolers, aerosol cans, cups, and beverage containers of any kind, except a sealed bottle of water (100ml or less) per person or an empty, reusable water bottle
- Laser pointers
- Large umbrellas
- Large bags, backpacks, tote bags, draw-string bags, etc.
- Ice chests and Coolers (except for medical supplies)
- Beach balls or inflatable devices (balloons)
- Animals (service animals allowed)
- Offensive or obscene clothing, banners, or signs, including the use of language or gestures:
  - concerning a person's race, ethnicity, color, gender, religion, creed, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender identity/expression of national origin, or
  - to instigate, incite or encourage a confrontation or physical assault
Appropriate accommodations can be made for attendees with medical or mobility needs. Note: Person(s) violating the prohibited items may be asked to leave, discard the item, change, or face criminal and civil citations.

Q: Where can I buy airshow tickets?

A: The First State Airshow is a FREE event and open to the public!

Q: Is preferred seating available for purchase?

A: The First State Airshow is FREE for all to attend. If you're interested in purchasing preferred seating, please visit the Dover FSS website: https://www.doverfss.com/airshow. The appearance of hyperlinks does not constitute endorsement by the U.S. Air Force of non-U.S. Government sites of the information, products, or services contained therein.

Q: Where should General Admission enter for the airshow?

A: General Admission will use either the North or Main Gates to enter. See the "Gate Information" section for detailed information and directions.

Q: Can I bring my dog?

A: Only service animals are allowed.

Q: Will handicapped parking be available?

A: Yes. Guests requiring handicapped parking will need to enter the installation through the Main Gate, and will be directed by airshow staff.

Q: I'm attending the airshow with my young child. Can I bring milk and snacks for them?

A: Yes, food for infants and bottled milk is allowed.

Q: I see we can bring empty water bottles. Will there be filling stations available?

A: Yes, water bottle filling stations will be located upon entry and throughout the air show ramp.

Q: Are there baby changing stations in the restrooms?

A: Yes, there will be baby changing stations in the porta potties.
Gate Information & Directions

Welcome to the First State Air Show at Dover Air Force Base! Whether you’re coming from the north, south, east, or west, we’ve got you covered with clear directions to ensure you arrive safely and enjoy the show.

From the North:

            •          If you’re coming from points north, take Interstate 95 South.

            •          Merge onto DE-1 South via Exit 4A toward Christiana/Mall Road.

            •          Continue on DE-1 South for approximately 40 miles.

            •          Take Exit 95 for DE-10 West toward Dover/Airport Road.

            •          Follow DE-10 West for about 5 miles until you reach the North Gate entrance to Dover AFB.

From the South:

            •          For those traveling from points south, take DE-1 North.

            •          Merge onto DE-1 North via the ramp on the left toward Dover.

            •          Continue on DE-1 North for approximately 30 miles.

            •          Take Exit 93 for Main Gate entrance to Dover AFB.

From the West:

            •          For those traveling from points west, take DE-8 East.

            •          Merge onto DE-8 East toward Dover.

            •          Continue on DE-8 East for approximately 10 miles.

            •          Take the exit toward DE-10 East/Dover Air Force Base.

            •          Follow DE-10 East for about 2 miles until you reach the Main Gate entrance to Dover AFB.
