A new traffic pattern was established at the main gate here Sept. 28, 2018.

Members of the 436th Civil Engineer Squadron used temporary barriers to create a serpentine route on the inbound side of the main gate.

“The new pattern is meant to help slow traffic down, providing additional safety to our defenders at the gates,” said Lt. Col. Michael Morales, 436th Security Forces Squadron commander. “We encourage everyone to take care and slow down while traversing this new traffic pattern.”

A similar traffic pattern will be installed at the north gate in the future. The temporary barriers will remain in place until more permanent fixtures are designed and placed.
